CASS PARK/LOWER CASS CORRIDOR NEIGHBORHOOD

Residential & Commercial Development

     brainard.jpg  The Brainard Street Townhomes
This project consists of 120 affordable rental housing units ranging from 1,000-1,200 sq. ft. with rental rates of $500-$700/mo.  Total project cost is $13 million.  This is a Cass Corridor Neighborhood Development Corporation project.
   
  Canine to Five
Canine to Five opened in May 2005 at 3443 Cass Ave and has continued to grow into a prosperous doggie daycare, boarding, and grooming company.  A Predevelopment Fund in the amount of $50,000 has been provided to help with facade improvemtns and capacity expansion.

The new high school is located next to the current Cass Tech building.  The six-story school will include modern science labs, a commons area, auditorium and athletic facilities.  The school opened for the 2005-06 year.  The total project cost is $114.5 million.

Located on the southeast corner of Cass and Davenport, this building has been renovated into 24 affordable rental units.  Total project cost is $1.4 million.  This is a Cass Corridor Neighborhood Development Corporation project.
   
    Eddystone_Harborlight.jpg The Eddystone
The historic Eddystone Hotel will be renovated into 60 loft style condos.  They will be 1 and 2 bedroom units ranging in size from 860 sq. ft. to 1,200 sq. ft., with a rooftop deck for residents.  Units will range in price from $140,000-$195,000.  There will also be two 2,000 sq. ft. commercial spaces on the ground floor.  Total invetment $9.3 million.

This neighborhood bar, formerly located off Jefferson Avenue, has a new home at 488 Selden.
   
  The James Scott House
Located on Peterboro the renovation of this historic property continues.  The two and a half story building will be converted into 23 rental units.  Prices range from $687-$1,210/mo.  Toal project cost is estimated at $4.8 million.
   
  Orchestra Towers
A 247 unit for elderly residents was recently renovated.  All new mechanicals and total unit renovation.  Total investment was $5.5 million.
   
 WalkerBldg.jpg Peterboro-Charlotte Redevelopment Project
Renovation of the Addison Hotel at 3131-41 Woodward is complete.  The renovated building offers 40 high-quality residential units with Atlas Global Bistro in the ground floor space.  Renovation on the adjacent 24,000 sq. ft. Walker Brothers Catering Bldg. into 7 loft condominiums and commercial space is also complete.  Three historic homes on Charlotte just west of Woodward are currenlty under construction for renter housing
