 WSUBusinessSchool.jpgBusiness School
The proposed project will be located on the west side of Woodward betwen Ferry and Palmer.  The new school will consist of approximately 50,000 sq. ft. and host all of their classes and offices.  Total investment is $35 million.
  
 WSU_Chemistry.jpgChemistry Building Expansion
The WSU Chemistiry, phase II, will include the renovation and expansion of its Chemistry Building.  Once complete the building will total 96,000 sq. ft. of existing laboratory and support space with and addition of 9,500 sq. ft. new space.  The facility will be renamed the A. Paul Schaap Chemistry Building.  The project is expected to finish in December 2010.  Total project investment is $42 million (both phases).
  
 salad_101.jpgCommercial Developments
WSU has added new commercial tenants to their campus.  Salad 101 opened along Anthony Wayne in the summer of 2009 and a coffee house will be added to the new Medical Commons.
  
 wsu_engineering.jpgEngineering Building
A new 80,000 sq. ft. Engineering Building, on Warren between Second and Anthony Wayne Drive, opened in the Spring of 2009.  Total investment is $16.5 million.
  
 Fitness Center
A 75,000 sq. ft. fitness center opened in September 2000.  Located in the center of campus, the center offers a 2-court gymnasium, walking/jogging track, aerobics studio, rock-climbing wall and health services.  The project cost was $20 million.
  
 Law School
A new 56,000 sq. ft. expansion to the Law School was completed in summer 2000.  The highlight of the building is a 250-seat auditorium/courtroom.  Equipped for both lectures and court sessions, this building includes judges' chambers and a jury room.  The project cost $17.1 million.
  
 McGregor Memorial Conference Center
This meeting center underwent a $5 million+ renovation which was completed in August 2002
  
WSUMedCommons.jpgMedical Commons
The Medical Commons project, located on E. Canfield between John R and St. Antoine, is the addition and renovation to the library.  The project includes a new front entrance to the Medical School, library, classrooms, and student outreach.  The project was completed in June 2009.  Total investment is $30 million.
  
 Public Improvements
The University plans to add signage, lighting, trees and other landscaping along Wayne States' main arteries, including Cass.  A plaza has recently been constructed on Warren between the Welcome Center and Barnes & Noble.
  
 StudioOne.jpgSouth University Village Project/ Studio One
The first phase of the project is now under construction 130 rental apartments and 26,000 sq.ft. of commercial are being built on Woodward between Canfield and Forest.  A 950 car paking deck is being constructed by Wayne State on the site.  The total project investment is approximately $55,000,000.  The project was complete in August 2008.  All residential units are occupied.  Commercial space features Fifth Third Bank, Biggby's Coffee, Utrecht Art Supply, Radio Shack, and Starters Bar & Grille.

New residence halls along Anthony Wayne Drive are now open.  The dormitories accomodate approximately 1,600 beds and include kitchen facilities, full cafeteria, and reatail. The current ground floor retail space is occupied by, Barnes & Noble bookstore, Pizzeria Venti, Bizdom U, Salon X, Freshens, Jimmy Johns, Starbucks, with still more to come. The total project cost is $98,200,000
  
welcome_center.jpg Welcome Center
A 700,000 sq. ft. Welcome Center located between Warren, Cass, Putnam and Woodward is now complete.  The facility is the first stop for prospective students offering a variety of services.  The project also includes a 105-seat orientation auditorium, a Barnes & Noble bookstore and a 425-space parking deck.  The project cost was $11.5 million.
