 There is probably no neighborhood that has more to offer than Midtown. The area was once home to Charles Lindberg and the Dodge Brothers who tinkered in their garage to create their world famous automobiles. Today, Midtown is a vibrant blend of history, luxury apartments, townhouses and loft, restaurants, galleries and Detroit’s own Wayne State University, the College for Creative Studies, the Detroit Medical Center and the Cultural Center — all making this a very attractive place to be. Midtown hosts two million visitors annually, has a daytime population of over 50,000 and has the largest concentration of cultural, educational and medical institutions in southeast Michigan. It has two radio stations, its own symphony, three historic inns, 11 theatres, six museums, 35 restaurants, 11 galleries, a hardware store and a dry cleaner, all within two square miles—making it one of the best walkable communities in Detroit.
